Pneumatics machinery operates through the utilization of pressurized gas (compressed air or other industrial gases) to affect the mechanical motion. Due to the fact that gases are compressible, the equipment is less susceptible to damage by shock since the gas in pneumatics absorbs excessive force. The popularity of pneumatics stem from having relatively long operation lifespan, while at the same time requiring minimum maintenance.
A preponderance of D & D’s inventorial compilation are world class compressed air technologies and additional variety of pneumatic components. We are equipped to provide our clientele on demand with an assortment of vacuums, compressors, multi-purpose tubing, dryers, filters, fittings, pressure sensors, temperature/pressure switches and air preparation equipment to meet any demanding applications.
Hydraulics machinery and tools depend on the use of pressurized liquids (hydraulic fluid) to generate, control, and transmit power. The fluid is directed manually or automatically by control valves and dispensed through hoses and tubes. The hydraulic machinery is right for certain types of industries due to it's ability to withstand an exceptionally large amount of force.
D & D offers an enormous variety of premium hydraulic components from some of the top manufacturers from North America, and overseas. Our extensive selection of hydraulics enables us to assemble complete fluid based systems for any specifications. Part of our inventory includes a wide range of hoses, fittings, fluid connectors, valves, pumps, motors, controls, cylinders, shock absorbers and other hydraulic accessories.
Wire Rope Isolators are environmentally stable, high-performance shock and vibration isolators that are unaffected by temperature extremes, chemicals, oil, ozone and abrasives.
They are ideal for applications such as:
- Chemical Processing Equipment
- Electronic Cabinets
- Pump, Genertor & Compressor Isolation
- Shipping Cases, Skids & Container
These products can help ensure that our systems can effectively meet performance requirements in commercial, industrial and defense industries.
Fixed Force Gas Springs and dampers are suitable for all purposes and have unlimited application possibilities. These are offered in stainless steel.
The Adjustable Force Gas Springs are industrial grade 316 stainless steel and are capable of lifting up to 1200 lbs. There are no tools required and it provides trouble free & practical support for years.
These Carbon Gas Springs are nitride coated steel and provide a controlled openeing force, making them ideal for lids, doors and hatches that need assistance opening up. These come in many sizes and forces. Gas springs are also know as gas struts or gas props.
Tension Gas Springs also know as reverse acting gas springs are made from 316 stainless steel. These force on these springs pulls the piston rod inward, operating in the opposite direction of other gas springs. Great for use on doors, lids, hatches and hoods that need to stay closed. In its relaxed state, the spring is compressed, you must pull it extend it. The temperature range is -40 to +300 degrees F.
The three types of dampers are extension, compression and dual direction. Extension dampers provide controlled speed while the rod is being extended ut of the tube. Compression dampers provide a controlled spped while the rod is being compressed back into the tube. Dual rate dampters have equal amount of damping in both directions.
There are a variety of brackets and end fittings for every size gas spring, tension spring and damper. All brackets are made from the highest quality stainless steel.
